Joan Pamboukes is a fine art photographer whose work explores the ways in which new technology and media culture affects our humanity. Her images are often abstract and saturated with color, referencing the relationship between modernist painting and photography. She received her BFA from MassArt and her MFA from NJCU. Joan is a Photography Professor at New York Film Academy. She currently lives and works on an 18-wheeler with her husband, Peter Lester.
